Paula Higgins was born in Ireland and graduated from art college in Dublin in 1991.

Since then she has worked as an illustrator, art teacher, mother of two, and painter, in Dublin, Botswana, London, Scotland and now Australia.

Paula paints from her lovely studio at home on the sunshine coast.

She always has a pencil at hand and can recall her response to a place or an object more easily through the experience of having drawn it.

Her family, their travels and the landscape surrounding their home form the backdrop to most of her works.
