| Peter
Scammell started painting as a child, within a family steeped in painterly
tradition. He describes his art as “post impressionist abstract
expressionist Australian landscape painting”.
He studied art at Alexander Mackie in Sydney from
1976 to 1979, and is currently employed as a fine arts lecturer.
He has exhibited since 1995 around the north coast
of New South Wales and in Brisbane.
